The line as it stands would be suitable for making any directly expanded snack/cereal product or petfood at up to 300 kg/hr, but comes without sugar coating system.
The complete line set up for savoury products comprises the following :-
1) Ribbon Blender/Mixer, 300 litre capacity ;
2) Screw Elevator ;
3) Metal Detector and reject chute ;
4) Storage Hopper and support frame ;
5) Single Screw Feeder ;
6) BAKER PERKINS MPF 65 twin screw cooker extruder, with screw parts, die assembly, liquid additive system and face cutter ;
7) Water Chiller Unit, for barrel temperature control ;
8) Pneumatic Conveying Line and cyclone type receiver/spreader ;
9) 6 m long Band Dryer ;
10) Seasoning Drum with oil/slurry application system.

Output is some 50-70 kg/hr. of final (flavoured) product. With packaging for 100 gr. bags / 2 or 3 different flavours.
Included are also the flavouring and drying drum as well as vertical packaging machine with twin in-line weighers.
Used to manufacture an Extruded and expanded Peanut flavoured Snack (Flips)
The product was based on Corn semolina or mixes on the basis of Corn semolina. Other type of flours (wheat, rice, manioc, etc. could also be used.)
The process is based on mixing/cooking/direct extrusion/cooling/flavouring with f.i. peanut coating/packing, etc.
